Overview
The Payments2Us News Broadcast and Payments2Us Popup Notification features deliver official news and announcements directly within your Salesforce org. Your team can stay informed about important Payments2Us updates without leaving Salesforce.
These features help keep your team informed about:
- Product and feature updates
- Important changes that may affect how you take or manage payments
- Security and compliance notices
- Tips and reminders to help your team manage payments effectively day to day
Announcements are published and maintained by Payments2Us and delivered automatically to your org. The goal is to deliver important updates to you on your Salesforce org.
- News Broadcast: A card displayed on a Lightning page that lists recent announcements, including the title, date, description, optional New and Urgent badges, and pagination when multiple announcements are available.
- Popup Notification: A modal or banner that displays the highest-priority active notification, such as an urgent announcement or important advisory.
Keep the batch processor running in order to make sure the news is getting synced to your Salesforce org.
1. What you see on the News Broadcast card
The Payments2Us News Broadcast component appears as a Lightning card titled Latest News & Updates.
If there are several items, use Previous and Next at the bottom of the card to move through pages (five items per page).Â
2. How pop-up notifications work and what you see
The Payments2Us Popup Notification component highlights one important announcement at a time, especially when Payments2Us needs you to notice something quickly (for example, urgent security-related news, any compliance change, or a time-sensitive reminder).
It can appear in a modal: a dialog over the page with a title, message, Dismiss, and a close control (x). Payments2Us has already placed the component inside following LWCs/views:
- Transact Payment Component
- Batch Entries line record pages
It is recommended to place the Broadcasting and Popup components on other pages that are used often, for example:
- App Home or dashboard
- Other high-traffic Payments2Us pages (payment forms, manual payments, merchant facility, etc.)
So if there is urgent news, all users see it in context when they open news-related work or payment screens, not only on a separate news page.
Required permissions
To add or edit Lightning pages (setup): Salesforce permission to use Lightning App Builder (typically System Administrator or equivalent).
To view news and popups (end users): Access to the Payments2Us app and the Lightning page where the components are placed (Transact Payment, etc)
3. Add the News Broadcast/Popup component to a page
Your Salesforce administrator (or user with App Builder access) adds the component to the page layout.
Click the Settings icon on the page layout → Click Edit Page.
Search for the Broadcast component and drag Payments2Us News Broadcast onto the page
Save and activate, assign the page to the right app and profiles.
Do the same with the Popup Notification component. Open the page where you want to see the Popup Notification component, click the Settings icon in the top right, then click Edit Page and drag the Popup component onto the page layout.

Where to place components (recommended)
We recommend adding news and popups on the views your team uses most, so updates are visible during real work, not only on a generic home tab. Like the payment txn detail page, recurring payment detail page, their app home/dashboard page, or any other page they frequently visit, so that they stay up to date with news.
