In the second step of the 3-Step Donation Form — the Contact step — you can collect details from donors using a list of available standard fields.
Some organizations may want to collect additional information (like referral source, dietary preference, or campaign-specific questions). Studio supports this — but what you can add depends on how the field is configured in Salesforce.
🔍 What Kind of Field Do You Want to Add?
There are two scenarios:
1. It’s a custom field in Salesforce
If the field is a custom field on the Payment Txn object in Salesforce, you can add it in Studio as a custom contact field.
👉 Follow this guide to add a custom field in Payments2us Studio
2. It’s not a custom field and not available in Studio’s standard field list
If the field is not custom, but also doesn’t appear in Studio’s available field options, you’ll need a workaround.
In this case:
- Contact your Salesforce administrator for assistance
- Or reach out to the Payments2us support team to explore available options
🧠 How to Tell If a Field Is Custom or Not
- In Salesforce, go to Setup → Object Manager → Payment Txn
- Click Fields & Relationships
- Search for the field you want to add
- Check the Field Name column

Non-custom fields (managed package fields) typically start with AAkPay__
Example: AAkPay__MobilePhone__c

Custom fields (added by your org) usually do not start with AAkPay__
Example: Donate_for__c
← this is a custom field created in the org
