Why the field "Regular Payment Day" is shown with a day, when its set to a frequency One-Off?

If the field "Regular Payment Day" on the Object Payment Txn has a picklist value field checked as a default value, For example: "15" in the "Regular Payment day" field which has a picklist value.

Though its not Recurring Payment, the Regular Payment Day is assigned the default value.

The Recurring Day will have no impact on processing for non recurring Payments.

How are the following fields used: Last Processed Date, Next Payment Date, Payment After Next Payment Date and End date? How is the Payment Day used?
